Is Karma Punishment for Humans?

Imagine a place of perfect peace, where you feel completely at one with everything. This is how some describe the experience of our inner selves when we’re not in physical form. It’s like being embraced by a warm, comforting light, feeling totally connected and at ease.

But just as we get comfortable in this blissful state, we might sense a gentle nudge, a whisper that there’s more for us to do. This could be the moment when we realize it’s time to return to life on Earth.

For some, this feels exciting. They see life on Earth as a chance to grow, learn, and have new experiences. It’s like going on an adventure that will help them become wiser and more complete.

Others might feel reluctant. The thought of leaving this peaceful state can be jarring, even scary. They might wonder, “Why do I have to go back? Did I do something wrong?” It’s natural to resist experiences that feel challenging or uncomfortable.

But here’s the thing: these Earth experiences aren’t punishments. They’re opportunities. Think of life as a series of lessons, each one helping us grow and understand more about ourselves and the world around us. 

For example, if someone had a traumatic experience in a previous life, they might be drawn to situations in their next life that help them heal from that trauma. It’s not about reliving pain, but about finding ways to overcome it and grow stronger. Integrating what has not been integrated into the soul’s consciousness is key in the healing journey and the process of remembering who we are in this physical form. We are spiritual beings living a physical experience.

According to the Verdic Religion, Karma means “action.” This concept carries profound implications for our daily lives and choices. Many people claim, “I didn’t act,” but this statement itself reveals a misunderstanding of the nature of action and responsibility.

I find interesting that The Rig Veda, which is the oldest Hindu text, it refers to the idea of karma in early scriptures as a primarily associated with ritual action. After reading quite a few very complicated texts with a few books and some thesis on the subject, honestly I am still confused! I dont think we can ever have a 100% answer, its up to us to decide what this all means for us. And the best thing? is that you are free to change your perspective as you evolve in consciousness! Thats actually a really beautiful thing!

In one of the thesis I half-read (to be honest) from Quayle, Brendan Phd Durham University on Studies in the Ritual Traditions of the Kumaon Himalaya, 1981, its indicated that Kama (as originally spelled), was a death ritual.
According to Oxford Academy, The clearest exposition of this doctrine of Karma is to be found in the Kausitaki Up 1.22 which proclaims that a being becomes a worm, an insect, a fish, a bird, a lion, a bear, a dog, a tiger or a human being etc. depending on his Karmas (deeds) and his knowledge.
For those interested in the occult / hidden knowledge…I want to call your attention to the insect mentioned in the Kausitaki Up, the worm. This concept of the worm is similar to some of the African Ancestral Spiritual Practices where a worm hidden in a fruit is seen in some cases as an anima that is trying to enter into the body of a living human to take possession of it in the most discreet ways possible. 
I think we all know though the concept of Karma, the fact that this is a casual dual three dimensional realm, thus its not wonder that we can only become what we’ve created in our priors or even current incarnation.

If you want to get much more serious on Karma and its consequences on diseases / illnesses, current life challenges, there are quite a few well known Occultists like Steiner who dedicated his life to understanding some of this esoteric knowledge to pass it to his students.

One of the key aspects of Karma is the concept of the KNOT. This symbol represents the interconnection / the merging of Cause and Effect of the Karmic Cycle. Often when working with clients in spiritual ceremonies, these knots depending on the severity could take several sessions to unlock. If done prematurely without the person having enough internal resources, the person could go into a panic / nervous breakdown or mental psychosis and instead of feeling relief may spend months or years trying to recover.

Some Karma Key Points:

  1. Inaction is an Action
    • Choosing not to act is, in itself, an action
    • As long as we exist, we are constantly making choices and taking actions
  2. Free Will and Responsibility
    • Recognizing our free will increases ownership of our actions
    • Accepting responsibility for our choices empowers us to shape our lives
  3. The Illusion of Reactivity
    • We often attribute our actions as mere responses to others
    • This perspective diminishes our role in decision-making
  4. Personal Accountability
    • Blaming others for our actions is self-deception
    • We choose how to act, even in challenging circumstances
  5. Empowerment Through Ownership
    • Taking charge of our actions leads to greater control over our lives
    • Acknowledging our role in outcomes fosters personal growth

By embracing the concept that every decision, including inaction, is a choice, we can begin to navigate life with greater intentionality. This mindset shift from reactive to proactive living allows us to:

  • Make more conscious decisions
  • Break free from victim mentality
  • Cultivate resilience in the face of challenges
  • Foster personal growth and self-awareness

Remember, the power to shape our experiences lies largely within our own choices and actions. By accepting this responsibility, we open doors to personal transformation and a more fulfilling life journey.

Our bodies play a big role in this journey. They hold memories and experiences deep within, beyond what our conscious minds can easily access. Our bodies are incredibly honest. They react to our true feelings, even when we’re not aware of them. This is the reason why someone who had been through trauma may not consciously remember it but the body knows when it feels safe and not especially if a situation reminds the body of something that happened int he past that has not been integrated. The key is to approach these ideas with an open mind. Some of these concepts might seem strange or hard to understand at first, and that’s okay. The goal isn’t to figure everything out with our logical minds, but to be open to new experiences and insights about ourselves and our journey through life.

Hans Tendam has said in his book “Deep Healing”, “Good judgement is the result of experience. Experience is the result of bad judgement” .  The experiences we have as a result of bad judgement are the ones that create “unresolved” issues.
