Geometry of Emotions and Our Chakra System

Geometry of Emotions and Our Chakra System

Chakras are energy centers that act as gateways, receiving and transforming universal energy to distribute throughout our physical and spiritual bodies. They are connected by Nadis or Meridians, channels through which life force energy (prana) flows. Chakras spin in order to move energy around the body. They act like gateways, receiving energy from the universe, transforming it and directing it around our physical and spiritual bodies.

The chakras are connected by Nadis or the Meridians (72000 Meridians!), which are channels through which life force energy (also known as prana) is carried throughout our being, feeding our physical, emotional and spiritual actions.

Nadis and meridians can be thought of as rivers of energy. The word Nadis is derived from the word “Nad” in Sanskrit which means “flow” in the sense of flowing water

There number of the Nadis varies depending on the source and can range from 7,200, 72,000 Meridians to 350,000 Nadis (according to different sources) weaving throughout our bodies, and these vital channels are the pathways through which energy is transported to and from the major chakras.

All these vortices or vortexes (whichever the proper term is and please pardon my ignorance) hold memories. These memories make the chakra either close or open under certain circumstances, depending on the memory that was stored.

Hatha Yoga Scriptures Indicate there are 72,000 Nadis in the Body. And the 3 Main Ones That We Feel the MOST Clearly Being:

  • Ida
  • Pingala
  • Sashumna.
  • 114 prominent chakras….In one of my channeling sessions, I clearly heard 108 Nadis in the body that we can somehow influence (some teachings say 112 chakras so do your own research!).

IDA Nadi – Cool / Water

Ida Nadi is the left-hand energy channel. It’s often associated with the moon and feminine energy, and its qualities are cool and soothing. It’s said to represent the cooling effects of water, calming down the heat of Pingala Nadi. This channel also helps us to explore our subtle emotions and develop a spiritual connection with life. This is why the Ida is associated with compassion, intuition, and creativity. Ida Nadi flows through the left side of the spine, connecting all seven chakras along its path.

Ida Nadi is associated with the parasympathetic nervous system, which helps us to relax and recuperate. This energy channel helps to foster a sense of peace, harmony and balance in our lives. By awakening this spiritual force within us we can open up new pathways of communication with the soul, allowing us to access deeper states of consciousness.

Pingala Nadi (Warm / Heat / Fire)

Pingala helps us overcome emotional blocks by bringing in new energies and stimulating our ego.

This channel flows through the right side of the spine and connects each of the seven chakras on its path. It helps to even out energy levels throughout the body, which can help us feel balanced and energized on all levels.

Pingala Nadi is associated with the sympathetic nervous system, which helps us to become decisive and take action. By working with this energy channel, we can tap into our inner power and embrace assertiveness in life.

Central Nadi (Sashumna)

This passes along the centerline of the spine and acts as a bridge between Ida Nadi and Pingala Nadi – connecting their opposing forces into one unified whole-body experience.

Sushumna Nadi is associated with the autonomic nervous system, which helps us to regulate and integrate our physical, mental energy and emotional energies. By working with this channel, we can experience a greater sense of unity and become more attuned to our higher self. This can lead to profound transformation on all levels – from physical healing to spiritual awakening.

By balancing out Ida and Pingala and strengthening Sushumna Nadi, we can experience deeper peace, clarity, and vitality – all of which are essential for spiritual growth.

The Nadis are the channel through which spiritual energy flows. They act like pathways that connect the chakras, providing them with vital energy. As this energy travels through the Nadis, it allows the human body and its systems to become energized and balanced.

This life-force energy is sent throughout the physical body to all its cells and ultimately, it permeates every part of our being – heart, mind, body and spirit

It is therefore vital to keep your Nadis/Meridians active in order to keep your chakras opened and balanced. But we all have traumas / wounds / disappointments that can interfere with the energy flow!

Unlocking Your Energy Centers: A Comprehensive Guide to the 7 Chakras and Their Impact on Your Well-being:

Root Chakra – (Adrenal Gland – Lower Back, Intestine, Allergies) – self-preservation, life!

  • Secretion of Cortisol: The hormone that brings you back to life and connects you to the physical world.
  • Here, we seek Health and Safety. When this chakra is too open, we become overly compromised in our desire for survival (as if we’re fighting hard to be here). If it’s too closed, we may experience suicidal tendencies.
  • The Root chakra is located in the pelvic area. It extends towards the ground like a downward vortex, and connects with the adrenal glands, which are located above (supra) the kidneys (renal).
  • The adrenal glands produce cortisol. Cortisol is the hormone that wakes us up in the mornings, enabling us to live another day!
  • This represents the instinct of self-preservation, the instinct of survival. It’s because of this instinct that we do not harm ourselves. For example, when you’re at a great height and look down, you may feel afraid. This is your self-preservation instinct putting you on alert.
  • Ego Expression: Fear of annihilation, living in the past, fear of ‘not enough’, adherence to family and religious rules.
  • Spiritual Expression when balanced: Life force, connection to earth and tribe, sense of community, vitality, loyalty, and bonding.

The root chakra develops from the beginning of conception in the womb, through birth, and up to 6 months after birth. (According to Wellness Institute research articles).

Sacral Chakra: (Associated organs: Reproductive organs, gonads / Sex Dysfunction)

  • Location: Lower abdomen, between the navel and pubic area
  • The Sacral Chakra is often associated with creativity, emotions, sexuality, and pleasure. It’s considered the center of feeling, sensation, and movement.
  • Ego Expression: When imbalanced, the Sacral Chakra may manifest as:
    • Excessive control, particularly regarding sex and money
    • Feelings of shame
    • Unhealthy competitiveness
    • Addictive behaviors
    • Jealousy
    • Tendency to feel like a victim or to persecute others
  • Spiritual Expression when balanced: When balanced, the Sacral Chakra can foster:
    • Passion
    • Personal empowerment
    • Love for life
    • Healthy relationships
    • Balanced sense of personal power
  • Developmental Stage:
The Sacral Chakra is sometimes associated with the nurturing stage of child development, typically occurring from 6 to 18 months of age. During this period, a child begins to explore sensations and emotions more deeply. According to Wellness Institute research articles).

Key Themes:

    • Relationships: This chakra is closely tied to how we relate to others, especially in intimate relationships.
    • Power dynamics: It influences our understanding and expression of personal power in various contexts.
    • Creativity: The Sacral Chakra is often linked to our creative energy and how we express it in the world.
    • Emotional fluidity: It’s associated with our ability to experience and express a range of emotions healthily.
    • feelings and emotions how to identify them in your body?

Solar Plexus (3rd chakra) – (Pancreas / Stomach / Arthritis / Cancer) / Territorial Power

  • Location: Upper abdomen
  • The Solar Plexus is often referred to as the Personal Power chakra, associated with self-esteem, confidence, and territorial instincts. This chakra may become more active when we feel our resources or personal boundaries are threatened.
  • Chakra suppression: Individuals with a suppressed Solar Plexus chakra might appear emotionally neutral or detached, rarely exhibiting strong feelings in either direction.
  • Related conditions: Arthritis and certain cancers
  • Ego expression: When imbalanced, this chakra might manifest as abusive power, manipulation, excessive need for approval, or a domineering attitude (“my will be done”).
  • Spiritual expression: When balanced, it can foster spiritual power, self-confidence, integrity, intuition, responsibility, and accountability.
  • Developmental stage: The Solar Plexus chakra is sometimes associated with the separation stage of child development (18-36 months), focusing on security and personal power. It may deal with issues of shame and perceived burdens.
  • Epigenetics:
There’s a theory that epigenetic trauma, particularly related to feminine experiences, might be passed down through generations, potentially influencing pancreatic function. However, it’s crucial to note that while stress can impact health, the primary causes of diabetes are genetic predisposition, lifestyle factors, and overall health.
  • Personal observation:
The pancreas is associated with this chakra. When I feel my resources might be taken or my territory invaded, this chakra becomes more active. People whose chakra stores memories of closing often seem emotionally neutral, appearing lukewarm – not too expressive in either direction. Some believe that many diabetic people develop the condition because they feel they won’t have enough money or resources. The pancreas is thought to be associated with feelings like “I want to do something, but I can’t” or “I’ve lost the sweetness in life.” Some theories suggest that epigenetic traumas passed down through generations, particularly related to feminine experiences, may contribute to pre-diabetes as the pancreas responds to perceived needs and becomes overactive.

4th Chakra: The Heart Chakra (Anahata)

  • Physical Associations:
    • Heart and blood pressure
    • Lungs (associated with asthma)
    • Immune system
  • Color: Green
  • Core Aspects:
    • Love and compassion (for self and others)
    • Emotional balance
    • Freedom and connection
    • Stores memories related to love and grief
    • Can be affected by experiences of rejection or lack of affection
    • May influence the center of the immune system
    • May influence attachment styles and relationship patterns
  • Significance:
The Heart Chakra is related to feelings of freedom due to its association with circulatory regulation and the rhythmic functions of the body. The lungs, connected to this chakra, allow for breath and energy flow throughout the entire body.
  • Emotional Aspects:
When a person expresses love and it’s not reciprocated, they may feel rejected. Many people have issues with this chakra due to experiences with previous generations. For example, a child wanting a hug but encountering a parent who didn’t know how to provide physical affection could lead to feelings of rejection. This may result in attachment issues and a tendency to accept abuse in exchange for love and attention, as it might be perceived as better than nothing.
  • Ego Expression (when imbalanced):
    • Conditional love
    • Resentment and anger
    • Pity rather than love
    • Feelings of unworthiness
    • Possessive love
  • Spiritual Expression (when balanced):
    • Unconditional love
    • Compassion and forgiveness
    • Self-acceptance
    • Gateway to deeper spirituality
  • Developmental Stage:
3-7 years old – focusing on belonging and interpersonal connections

Personal insight:

The Heart Chakra is deeply influenced by our experiences of love and rejection. Many individuals struggle with issues related to this chakra due to generational patterns or childhood experiences. When a person expresses love and doesn’t receive reciprocation, it can lead to feelings of rejection and unworthiness. This is particularly impactful during childhood, where a lack of affection from caregivers can shape our understanding of love and acceptance. Such experiences may contribute to the development of insecure attachment styles in adulthood. In some cases, this can manifest as a tendency to accept unhealthy or even abusive relationships, driven by a deep-seated need for any form of love or attention, even if it comes at a personal cost. Understanding and healing these patterns is crucial for developing healthy self-love and forming balanced, nurturing relationships.
